What Are Fire Bricks?

Fire bricks, also known as refractory bricks, are shaped refractory materials made from inorganic non-metallic materials with a refractoriness of no less than 1580°C. They are primarily used for lining various thermal equipment such as blast furnaces, hot blast stoves, electric furnaces, and rotary kilns, withstanding the erosion of high-temperature physical and chemical reactions while maintaining structural strength.

Selecting the Right Fire Bricks Based on Working Conditions

Different industrial scenarios require fire bricks of varying materials. We offer multiple series to meet specific needs:

Silica-Alumina Series Fire Bricks:

  • Fire Clay Brick: Weakly acidic, mainly used in areas with minor temperature fluctuations, such as glass furnaces and blast furnaces.
  • High Alumina Brick: With an Al₂O₃ content exceeding 48%, it offers higher load softening temperature and slag resistance, making it suitable for critical areas such as electric furnace roofs and rotary kilns.

Basic Refractory Bricks: Such as magnesia-carbon bricks and magnesia-chrome bricks, primarily used in steelmaking converters and electric furnaces, capable of resisting strong erosion from basic slags.

Insulating Fire Bricks: Used for the insulation layer of kilns, effectively reducing heat loss and improving energy efficiency.
